Are you our new Account Executive?

Location: Bristol

At Antidote, we don’t chase headlines for the sake of it. We work with bold brands, founders and disruptors to build trust in a noisy world with sharp thinking, creative, data-campaigns, and a focus on real outcomes.

We’re now looking for a brilliant Account Executive to join our team. Someone curious, switched-on and ready to roll up their sleeves.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work across several corporate and B2B accounts, supporting comms programmes. You’ll collaborate with senior team members to drive strong execution, build great media relationships, create thought provoking content and keep campaigns moving.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Media relations

  • Spot media opportunities and support the development of strong story angles
  • Build and maintain media lists relevant to each client’s sector
  • Draft and sell in pitches to journalists and influencers (trade, national, broadcast, newsletters, podcasts - wherever makes sense)
  • Track and report coverage accurately and quickly
  • Stay on top of the news agenda and proactively suggest opportunities to clients and teams

Writing and content

  • Draft press releases, media alerts, articles, award entries and social posts
  • Write with clarity, purpose and precision and be open to feedback
  • Develop messaging documents and help pull together presentations and proposals
  • Take a first crack at campaign wrap-ups and case studies

Client and project management

  • Attend and contribute to weekly client calls and meetings
  • Own meeting agendas and action notes – make sure things don’t slip
  • Keep work-in-progress docs and evaluation trackers updated and accurate
  • Help build strong, trusting relationships with clients
  • Be proactive about spotting what needs doing and jumping on it

Planning and creative

  • Join brainstorms and idea sessions and bring your own thinking to the table
  • Research events, awards, speaking opportunities and relevant partnerships
  • Support the team on new business projects – from research to ideas to slide-building
  • Help keep Antidote’s own marketing channels running – socials, blog content, etc.

What we’re looking for

We’re not obsessed with years of experience, we care more about your potential, mindset and attitude. That said, you’ll likely be someone with 6–18 months of experience in a PR, comms or marketing-related role (agency or in-house), or transferable experience from journalism, politics, campaigning or similar.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A confident communicator
  • Detail-oriented and organised
  • Curious about how the world works
  • Energised by people and relationships
  • Not afraid to ask questions or challenge an idea
  • Professional, proactive and comfortable working at pace
  • Interested in innovation and technology
  • Emotionally intelligent and aware
  • Someone who wants to learn and is open to feedback
  • A team player

What you’ll get

  • A supportive team who care about your development
  • Opportunities to work on high-profile, high-impact campaigns
  • Internal training via Antidote University and coaching with More Happi
  • Flexibility – hybrid working with core hours (two days in the office)
  • Monthly wellbeing allowance (use it for whatever keeps you feeling good)
  • Phone bill contribution
  • Cake Wednesdays and a dog-friendly office
  • One volunteering day per year
  • Bristol and London base
  • 25 days holiday, bank holidays plus extra time over Christmas
  • Regular team socials and away days
